He's an absolute **** and a fraud. In 2 years, it will all end in ignominy.

          The man is a genius.
Worst world cup results wise yes but we did play two decent rated teams. The reality is we lost both by a single goal. At no other time have we had a group like this. All 3 teams would have been expecting to qualify, yet only 1 will, so either Uruguay or italy will be disappointed as well. Its like this **** they say about no European team winning a world cup in south america, sounds bad but how often are the world cups held there? Once a blue moon.

Roy is average. But this group was hard. **** teams will qualify in easier groups. Thems the breaks.

I dont think tough group can wash an excuse when little Costa Rica have pissed through it after 2 games. Italy and Uruguay were there for the taking.

Yup, tactically he got it wrong with the players at his disposal and he made a huge mistake leaving Cole out of the squad.

Simply put he should be accountable for the worst World Cup effort since '58, if he wasn't British I fancy the press would be crucifying him at the moment

It's weird, theres more praise than criticism of him at the moment. "The players like him" "He took the youngsters". Playing Raheem Sterling is being talked about as if it was some staggeringly bold move that no other manager would have had the balls to do. He was one of the best players in the league for the last 5 months of it, it's hardly brave or bold picking him! The team scraped through qualifying by 1 point and continued to look absolute **** at the tournament and is out after 2 games. It feels like most of our fanbase are the only ones who see straight through him, it's not hindsight either, we said it'd go like this for them when he was appointed. Infact you only have to look at page 1 of this thread, people pissing themselves laughing at the appointment and how bad he'll do, it's happened and still the praise comes for him from the media. Mental.

The chat at a BBQ last night was my 'irrational hatred for Roy Hodgson' because of what he did at Liverpool. I need to look to the bad officiating, an extremely tough group and the experienced players not turning up. I even got an excuse that the players are home sick!

Hodgson has brain ninja'd the non-Liverpool supporting British public.

Rooney mentioned that he changed the way England play in his presser yesterday. I thought that was ludicrous. They're maybe a bit more patient, but that would fit his conservative style anyway. The slower the play, the less risk they take. Maybe explains their lack of end product.

He now teaches the community coaches for Chelsea in these new methods.

To say we dont do anything is just wrong. It will take about 10 years to come through the system the whole way.
So why the call for a review? Surely the FA would just remind people that this is a process and we're about a third of the way through it?

I envisage England playing a lot like Bosnia did against Nigeria (albeit with a better scoring record!).

Instead they played like they'd smoked lots of weed.

I think that's about right. No-one thinks that Hodgson is a managerial genius but we've had those before and we've won nada. I think there is a general dawning that the problems England have go beyond who the manager is. Although it wouldn't hurt to have a decent one of course.

The salary this fraud gets suggests to me he is one of the best managers in the world which only Liverpool fans are the only ones who see through his ****e and know this is not the case.
I totally agree it isn't just the manager.

Although there is also a rule of thought that to progress in tournaments you need to beat good teams so who England play in their group is academic. And Italy and Uraguay are hardly the strongest teams at the World Cup.

On fact it's not even about beating them. If they'd managed two draws and a win again Costa Rica then they'd probably go through.

So I'm not buying this bollocks about the group. If he was such a good manager he'd have negotiated it.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
