I still think Brendo ****ed this up a bit. If we really wanted him no way should we have allowed him to speak to Swansea first... It was either cocky, or stupid, or cocky and stupid. Just get him signed up and move on or pass. It's fannying about and then missing out that makes us look ****.

I've never really seen him play personally, so am not sure it's the end of the world. I guess just seemed to fit our profile right now. And we have all got first transfer of the summer blood lust right now.

I understand your frustration mate - it's ****ing annoying that he's likely to go to Spurs. But think of it like this:

When you go to buy a car you set a limit, you see a car that you really like and you decide to bid for it. You go in low obviously, someone offers the owner a lot more and then you've got to decide if you really want it that much.

If I think a car is valued at a maximum of £10k and someone else comes in and offers £15k, then there's no ****ing way that I'm going to up my bid. I'll find another car, maybe not today but something will come along.

It's annoying - really annoying - about the Sigurdsson thing because he's a good player, but you have to draw a line somewhere.

I'll be really pissed off if he does go to Spurs though.

I hadn't even heard of him, and tbh if he is not 100% committed to signing for us he can do one.

I am glad we are not being held to ransom and he is definitely not worth 70 grand a week. Sends out all teh wrong signals and will destabilise the group if some of the other players who are on less find out. Our terms or no deal seems very logical even if it is disappointing we are missing our target.
