Unlikely, footballers have to do a tad more than what he has done to burn bridges, just look at Rooney, Gerrard and Tevez...

After the weekend I'd happily take Dempsey for anything below £10m. Plus I honestly think he'd have a marked impact on our presence in the US, every American football fan I know loves Dempsey and there's a huge, blossoming market in America for European football.

Sign him and we'll probably gain a fair number of fans who don't yet have a favourite team.

Or alternatively we will have the opportunity to convert those massing hoards of US fans who already support Fulham

I wouldn't mind us signing him. Purely based on the fact he knows where the goal is. We are really lacking that.

I agree. Think he will last a few seasons too.

He may have his limitations, and they are fears I share with most on here. But the players we have are limited too. So at the moment he is what we need to get us moving up the table.

at the end of the day we cannot afford llorente or similar.

with our budget, dempsey is likely to be our best option, unless there is another option out there that is not yet in the press [jovetic, maybe?].

on a like for like comparison, i would guess that given the same chances, dempsey would convert more than suarez. he has many positive attributes, and grafts hard for the team. if we played him as a false nine, coming from an attacking central midfield area, then he would not only be in the right plave to run on to through balls, but it would be harder for oppo defences to pick him up as he wouldnt be so far forward and stationary, waiting for the ball to arrive, like andy carroll likes to do.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

If we can't afford Llorente we definitely can't afford Jovetic sadly
Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge
