Back to Dempsey though and at the start of the summer i didn't really want him but i think with the way we played today he would be a great option to have for the squad and get the goals our midfield lacks at the minute.

I'd happily have Dempsey here. I think he'd be a perfect fit, no non-sense, experienced, cheap and something different to what we have. Most importantly, he grabs goals and assists. And seeing as everyone else we've got in is young, he'd be the perfect foil.

Not his biggest fan myself but I agree, he's what we need and at the moment we're not going to spend another £20m+ on a really quality player in that role. Dempsey is the best we can get at the moment so let's bring him in.

I'd hope for more than Rhodes, to be honest. I like the lad but it's a big risk and we don't have a large margin for error.
