      Of course. It's just so far from my way of thinking it's difficult to engage with it. Really, it reads like a storm in a tabloid teacup, designed to make a story out of nothing. He clearly isn't that good any more. He clearly didn't win the right to host the Olympics on his own, and even if he had, I don't see why he should get a place on the team. Boris Johnson played a part - should he be on the cycling team? And do people really want Beckham there that much? And if they do, why? It couldn't be because Beckham has excellent PR and is loved by the media, could it?

          The fact is, Giggs, Bellamy and Richards all played at the highest level last season, Beckham was in the substandard MLS.

          He's not good enough anymore and had he been selected it would have been on sentiment alone and nothing to do with footballing ability.

                          My brother-in-law has a final ticket for me, but I really don't think I can be arsed going. Also had an athletics 100m final one I can take too. I'd rather watch it on tv if at all.
