not how we should be selecting players that need to be proven quality
How exactly can he be considered proven quality at his age? There's only 1 Messi mate.

Great point.. If they are 'proven quality' they'll think they've earned the right to play in the best quality competition and they'd be right in most cases.

We can, in our new system, enable someone like him to fulfill his potential. And then probably sell him for a massive profit (hope not, sell him that is....actually we have't even bought him so it doesn't matter).

I remember people praising Charlie Adam for his Passing, Dead Ball delivery, Free Kicks and ability to score goals.

Ramirez is someone I hope we stay away from, he is overpriced (if rumoured prices are to be believed) and is hugely inconsistent with no evidence he will improve to a significant level.

i know that, mate, but we shouldnt be splashing 14m ish on a guy who does look ok on his youtube compilation, but isnt a real head turner in a match.
admittedly i havent seen that much of him other than the clips and the olympics, but even tim vickery thinks hes a little lightweight for the prem.

dont get me wrong, he may come good. or he may be the next downing

Thats really unfair. Look at the cracking free kicks he scored in the Olympics and his play for Bologna last season. He has shown a lot of potential and there is enough evidence IMO that he can take it to a bigger stage.

Seen Ramirez about 7 or 8 times now, seems to have a great left foot but apart from that he has been very disappointing & seems very lazy. For that money... no thanks can't afford another passenger.

It seems hard for us to sign any player for under £14m to be honest, talk of £7m from Tottenham for 17 year old Sterling. The world of football is completely mad!

Couldn't agree more. Only thing is I honestly believe he would be a do'er.

Why didn't we buy Sigurdsson instead?? Cheaper and better

i would have preferred siggy. a better attacking option, but that ship has sailed into the oblivion

Sigurdsson looks a super player, probably half the price and similiar wages!!
