Fabio Borini: Sunderland hope to seal Liverpool striker loan deal

Sunderland hope to conclude a loan deal for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini before the end of the transfer window.

Black Cats manager Paolo Di Canio rates the 22-year-old Italian, who has struggled at Anfield since becoming Reds boss Brendan Rodgers' first buy.

Borini, who played for Rodgers at Chelsea's academy and at Swansea, moved from AS Roma in July 2012 for £11m.

Further talks are expected once Liverpool have signed Chelsea's Victor Moses on a season-long loan deal.

That move would push Borini further down the Anfield pecking order.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
          Mine angry and defrauded young?

Telling that he wasn't even on the bench today, a loan move to another Premiership club will do him a lot of good.

They dont exactly create much but hopefully he can get a few goals for them and show he can either contribute here or get a good move next summer.

You wonder if we're looking to bring in someone else as well as as Moses if this is the case

Behind Fletcher and Connor Wickham? (possibly Altidore)

**** all point in him going if that is the case.

Altidore looks the least mobile forward in the league.

Chelsea's Victor Moses, Paris Saint-Germain's Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori of Sporting Lisbon were at Anfield to see the win over United and Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager, hopes to complete their respective deals on Monday. The defenders Sakho and Ilori should join for a combined fee of around £25m while Moses should arrive on a season-long loan from Stamford Bridge.

"We hope they can be completed later but there will be no confirmation until tomorrow," said Rodgers who may also sign the Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given as cover for Simon Mignolet. The striker Fabio Borini may go out on loan to Sunderland or Queens Park Rangers.

Borini heading to Sunderland on loan with Liverpool chances getting ever smaller

                            By SIMON JONES

Sunderland hope to finalise a loan for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini on Monday and have also enquired about a similar deal for Napoli defender Andrea Dossena.

Liverpool are set to seal deals for Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho, Chelsea’s Victor Moses and Sporting Lisbon’s Tiago Ilori.

Moses’ arrival will push Borini down the pecking order and the Italian feels he will get more chances under Paolo di Canio. Napoli, managed by former Anfield boss Rafa Benitez, could make a late bid for Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

LFC frontman moves to North East to get game time

By James Pearce, 2nd September 2013

Liverpool FC striker Fabio Borini is set to join Sunderland on a season-long loan deal.

The Italian frontman is having a medical in the North East after accepting the chance to join up with Paolo Di Canio’s squad.

Borini hasn’t featured for the Reds so far this season and boss Brendan Rodgers has decided to send him out on loan in order to get game-time.

The 22-year-old scored just two goals in 20 appearances last term following his £10.5million move from Roma.
