It begs the question why he was bought at all. Complete waste of money.

this is going to sting a little but rodgers has got to be brave and do whats best for the group
buying and keeping 'players i have known and loved' just for sentimental reasons when they dont cut it will soon lose the respect of the others.
he has to be ruthless. good on him too.

        who is next

If hes not playing regularly , we might as well have him on our bench for a different option last 20 mins

But Poyet wants Borini to stay on Wearside and, with seven games coming up in December, says he will need all his players to play their part as the Black Cats battle against the drop.

“Fabio is fit and available to play and we have to look to use him in the best way possible,” said Poyet.

“He’s a quality player and he is someone who can be important to us in what is a very busy time coming up.

“I haven’t spoken to his agent but I would like to, to reassure him that Fabio is part of my plans.”

Poyet does sympathise with Borini’s frustrations and admits the former Roma man has been desperately unlucky not to play more games under his tenure.

He added: “The most unlucky player at this club is Fabio.

“I know that Fabio Borini should be playing more than he has done and the only person that can be blamed for that is me.

“And yet that is not because I don’t want him to play.

“The problem is that when I create a team to play against the opposition, I think of the system, I make decisions, I pick a team I think is the best for that particular challenge and then I find Fabio is not one of them.

“It is not done on purpose - he’s just unlucky.

“Normally that happens to one player every now and again - that they deserve more than they are getting.

“But it has happened to Fabio a lot and he is the one player who can come and say to me: ‘Why am I not playing,’ and I would have a problem answering.”

              Borini

Don't know if this should be elsewhere, but did anyone hear what happened with him today??

Apparently collapsed at half-time & was rushed to hospital

Apperently Poyet said he should be okay to travel home with the squad.
