He's been getting very good reviews and I think his movement and running have always been good. he'll have a decent career somewhere and is the type of option that would help us. Different from but probably more useful than Moses and Aspas. I'd like to see him get some more chances with us.

Right now Borini is a better option off the bench than Moses, Aspas, Alberto et al, we'll need a bigger squad next season, doesn't make any sense to sell him and start again with someone else who needs to settle in.
Borini has had 2 seasons, this one he's played regularly and has scored in all their big games.
Exactly how the club would have hoped his loan spell would workThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

You got to look his production over the course of the entire year and 3 goals in 21 games in PL is not that great.Originally posted by -V- View PostOne of the leagues form strikers at the moment, he has played brilliantly over the last few weeks. Seems to have stepped up a couple of levels lately, he's still young don't forget
No question that he is still a young player but imo the clubs interested in signing him may not be willing to spend more than what we paid or cannot afford more than what we paid.
I suppose the good thing is we don't have to sell but we'll have to wait and see.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

He looked like he lacked confidence when he played for us. Possibly he's a better player with a bit of tlc and a good run of games back to back to get his form. Can't see him getting that if he comes back though.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Perhaps but with young players its all about self confidence, Poyet has came in and really given him a boost. His all round play has been fantastic, he has been playing left wing alot too and doing a job. He's a young player who is developing and from what I have seen of him over the past 2 months he is unrecognizable to how he was when he started his loan spell

True, but he's not going to get a run of games with us, he'll be in and out of the side. Can't see him coming back. Best he's with a club who'll play him week in, week out I think.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

I know I'm in the minority on here, but I genuinely think he can be a good player. He's got a lot of heart and plays with plays intelligently. He needs to improve and a bit of luck, but I feel he can add something to the squad. Obviously he's not going to be Suarez or Sturridge, but you can be a very good player even if you're not at that level.
I feel he deserves a shot here next season, if it doesn't work out ship him out.

His movement in and around the box is very good but imo he is lacking technical skills to be a very good striker.
He could be a very useful squad player but I really cannot see him being willing to settle for that next year as bar injuries to our key players he won't be the first choice.
He wants to play regular football and you cannot blame him for that.
I wouldn't be surprised if he puts the pressure on his agent to find the way for us to either loan him once again or sell him in the summer.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

He looked like a complete headless chicken for us, didn't show a glimpse of anything promising and his movement was the polar opposite of intelligent. I thought he was utter garbage, a complete waste of money. He does seem to have made a contribution for Sunderland recently, maybe he's not quite as ****e as he seemed to be?

Borini have never been ****, but had a hard time settleing in a non settled team, formation and philosophy last year. As many players did.
I still think he can become a usefulll squad option here and help us with European Football next season if he wants to take the chance.
Hope he does, he is a very good finisher.
