The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd bite their hands off if they offered £10m for Borini.
      Are we winning?

You never sell at the first offer unless it's a ridiculous offer....say no to £10 million and they'll offer another £2million then sell...and there might be interest from Italian clubs

£10m is a good deal for all parties concerned.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

£10m sounds like a good offer - he's a good player, but not what we need. He'll be really good for a mid-table club who can play him every week. I wish him luck, for our sake and his we need to offload him.

                i'd take the £10m

i was hopeful he might come back and give us some extra squad cover/allow us to spend money elsewhere, but he looks like the kind of player who needs a run of games to get going and he won't get that here...

                he'd be behind
                suarez
                sturridge
                sterling
                coutinho
                lambert

and that's without signing anyone else/lallana

It's easy playing FIFA or FM isn't it?
Yeah just sell him, bite your arm off for £10m blah blah blah.

Successful squads need players to fill specific roles within it, every squad needs a Solskjaer type i.e. a good player happy to be part of a successful squad, not causing grief because he isn't starting.

To Lukaku's credit he went to Everton because he told Mourinho he wanted to play, he wasn't happy being a squad player, Mourinho couldn't promise him enough game time so he went on loan.

Lambert and Borini are our Solskjaer's, for different reason's they will both be happy to play a part in the season, not expect to start every week.

Sell Borini and we have to replace him (obvious hey) yet that replacement will cost at least £10m and will probably need to acclimatise to the Premier League and the chances are that come Christmas if they haven't played enough they or their agent will start making noises about wanting to leave, needing to play more etc....

Borini is not a world class superstar, he's not **** either.
He's an ideal squad player, can play anywhere across the forward positions, has played regularly last season so is used to the PL, scored a goal every 4 games in a crap side mainly playing wide and scored some vitally important goals including penalties in shoot outs, scored against Newcastle, Man U, Chelsea.
He has proved he can score in big games, does anyone serious think he couldn't score 10-15 goals for us next season playing home to Burnley or whoever.

It would be madness to sell him
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

see i do agree with some of your however from what i've seen borini having watched him for a full season (when he featured here) and then tried to watch as much as i could at sunderland to see how he progressed to say it would be madness to sell for £10m?. whilst i agree, Ideally i'd keep him -

however i disagree with the solskjaer type of squad player thing..i agree that's the sort of player we need, i don't think borini has that in him - when he goes three or four games without playing and then start, he looks completely ****. Its only when he gets regularly football that after 3 or 4 games he seems to settle and look improved.

he won't get a run of games here. So whilst i do agree we need as strong as squad as possible, to say it would be madness to sell him if there is £10m on table? really?

it'd be madness if it was last day of the window and we only had four strikers and we sold him for £4m or sent him back out on loan.

but as i said in previous post - the 'three' attacking positions we use - we have 5 players who will cover those positions before borini - thats without adding lallana who could cover there, plus any other attacking players we may be interested in, plus if really struggling we would have Ibe coming through

if we could upgrade from borini to remy then i would be more than happy.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I wouldn't be in a rush to sell Borini but if we can get upwards of £10M for him then I would take the cash and reinvest, Borini works hard and has good movement but it just doesn't seem like it will happen for him somehow.

I'd have no problem keeping him as back up if we didn't get at least our money back

                          Why??
Borini is probably on 30-40k a week and would accept being a squad player, and he's more versatile.
Remy would want at least double that and can only play centrally and sulks when he isn't in the team.
Including loans Remy has had 6 clubs in 8 years.

Remy is exactly the type of footballer we don't want or need in the squad. It's not just about ability, Remy probably is a better striker than Borini but he isn't better than Suarez or Sturridge and you can argue the toss over who has a better output and end product between Remy and Lambert.

I guess FM isn't as easy as mind reading and predicting the future, which you've obviously nailed.

Fabio Borini's agent insists the striker wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place next season.

The recent arrival of Rickie Lambert from Southampton has again raised question marks about Borini's future at Anfield.

Borini is due to return to Liverpool this summer after a successful spell on loan at Sunderland last season.

The Italian's representative, Marco De Marchi, claims Borini will not be forced out of Liverpool by Lambert's arrival.

"Does Lambert's arrival close the door on Fabio Borini? No, I don't think so," Borini's agent Marco De Marchi told tuttomercatoweb.com.

"We have received no communications in that regard.

"In this last season, Fabio gave a considerable contribution towards keeping Sunderland up.

"He was praised by everyone, especially by the Liverpool manager [Brendan] Rodgers.

"So, after his holidays he will go back to Liverpool to prepare for the new season wearing the shirt of this historic club.

"He wants to compete with everyone and be an extra resource for the coach and the team.

"Borini could be of use to any team, but no-one has contacted us and his desire is to show what he's got at Liverpool."
