It's weird - I don't rate him, think he's a pretty ****, but oddly I think he'd do well in a Rodgers side and if he played wide in the front 3 something like Suarez-Borini-Walcott would be awesome

They at least suggest he has mastered the use of the shift key

Why particularly in a Rodgers side?

Because he had the likes of Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer and even Wayne Routledge functioning really effectively last season, and Walcott's very similar to but a lot better than those three.

Wenger has become very rigid in the way he uses Walcott. Keep him holding the width and expect him to create something when the player himself isn't great holding the line.

Walcott needs to be driving into that space between centre back and full back, whether it is with or without the ball. If he could do that, he'll be much better.

He's not been great performance wise and if he replicates it here, he'll have a large percentage of whingers on his back. Needs a few tweaks to his game.

IS the Walcott link genuine or just Theo looking for more money at Arsenal?

His wages are the issue though.

£100k per week (if true) is a heck of a lot of money. Probably too much for someone like Walcott unless we can pick him up dirt cheap.

I do think he can be a bit Ryan Babel at times and incredibly frustrating, but he makes things happen. Like Shaggy says, him on the right of the front three with Suarez and Borini would be very exciting.

I look at Walcott and i think he's a headless chicken and technically average (cocky little ****er too) BUT you cannot argue with his stats. His pace is absolutely blistering pace it is ridiculous, and even if he only gets 1 out of 5 crosses in.... that could be all our forwards need.

IMO would be a shrewd signing but i feel he's just gonna hang on til Arsenal give him what he wants.

That was my logic too. Both of their decision making seems to have improved exponentially under Rodgers.

If he could have the same impact on Walcott, he'd be a great player.

I'm not his biggest fan but he is much better than Babel bobble.
                          Oh I don't know.

I'd sign him, he seems to have raw potential, pace, still is young (23), scores goals, plays out wide and is better than Downing.

His name is Theo and he dances on the sand
He's like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when he shines he really shows you all he can
Oh Theo, Theo dance across the Rio Grande.

*may need a bit of polishing.

Plus signing him means we can sing a Vampire Weekend song on the Kop!

Scores more goals, and often kills the weaker teams off on his own.
