If they expressly ask to leave, that is different again. I'm more than sure that Joe was sitting tight awaiting this outcome. BR has already said he was free to go since the summer. That's the club's decision. After that, it's minimising the loss as far as possible.
    Oh I don't know.

Delighted Cole is gone, turned out to be a real shocking signing!!! As Kenneth said we lose nothing on the pitch and save on wages, which can go to someone else who will hopefully make a worthwhile contribution to LFC.

You're right that greed is the **** side of modern football but to call him scum is out of order. Rightly or wrongly he's entitled to it and I've not heard of a footballer (outside of the very rare bankrupt club story) who has turned down what's owed to him.

Blame the club for giving a free transfer a four year deal. Totally unnecessary to offer long deals when there's no transfer fee

Except that Kenny didn't wave his money owed.

He took every penny as he was entitled to.

Scum might have been a bit OTT but he's a pr1ck for his attitude alone

                I acknowledged that subsequently

                  Got any examples?

I was under the impression that much against his will, the guy is considerably past his best. You can't fault him for that. You can fault anyone buying him though. Chelsea let him go for free for a reason. We're paying him off for the same reason.
                  Oh I don't know.

Maybe the fact he smokes like a trooper and hasn't looked fit since he joined might have shaped my opinion.

Is the smoking thing not a myth?

Think West Ham have found an abnormal level of tobacco in Joe Cole's lungs.
                        Are we winning?

So he's taken to ingesting tobacco without smoking it now? Into his lungs? Blimey.

                            Apparently not.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Not sure but his fitness levels aren't

Particles? He's a smoker yes and it's not a myth.
