seems to be a bit of confusion about this lad.

Some people said that he wasnt a brendan rodgers signing but one pushed through by the new recruitment team. Maybe thats why hes not being played too much.

      Did anyone else hear that.

First I heard of that. Looked like a BR signing in the Being Liverpool Documentary, especially the warm welcome BR gave him.

I think he was a BR signing originally scouted for Swansea. Maybe he just does not impress enough in training to get into the team right now, but I hope he gets a decent chance soon.

if he was a rodgers signing you can bet he would have played a lot more.

I've heard that rumour a few times and I don't believe it. Scott Sinclair's future at Swansea was up in the air and I think Assaidi would've been a potential replacement.

Maybe he's not settled or he's still trying to adapt to what is being asked of him.

whenever ive seen him hes always looked a threat.

again looks more like a winger than an inside forward so why would rodgers buy a wide player when we dont use them.

This is what Rodgers said at the time of signing him:

"We're delighted with the signing, he's a young player who has done very well, in particular in the last couple of seasons, in Holland."

"He fits our style perfectly, he's an exciting player who is very good in one versus one situations and I think he's a player that will excite the crowd. We're not expecting too much too early, he needs time to adapt but we're delighted he's chosen to come here over a number of other clubs.

"As I said, I'll look forward to helping his development and I hope he'll become a very good part of this club."

To an extent I think he is just a victim of Sterlings success. Downing is obviously a different type of player and Rodgers seems to prefer that as a substitution. Does make having him seem a bit of a luxury that we can't afford though.

If ince and sturridge come then I think its the end for this lad.

The whole thing was very strange. He just sort of turned up one day without anyone have a clue. Maybe even rodgers didnt know.

Maybe he was signed by Rodgers as a backup player, with a view to bringing him into the first team if he adapts well. Looked decent against Europa teams, not so good in his last prem cameo.

Whats the story then? Doesn't even get on the bench.

Should bring him in to give Sterling a rest imo, you can't bring him on for 5 minutes at the end of a game and expect him to show what he can do.

every single time i've seen him he looks rubbish. yet the games I haven't seen, others tell me he's great. either the others talk **** or I've been unlucky.

He can beat a man for sure but so far has displayed zero goal threat or any killer balls really.

I didn't expect much from the signing and he's not delivered much.

                                Agree with Rich.

He shows flickers of brilliance, can definitely take players on, looks positive and direct. Andddddddd.....on the flip side, his end product is non existent, he is lightweight & seems to disappear as game goes on.

Still though, likes of Cole and Downing getting games ahead of him IMO is ridiculous.
