Whilst the team is struggling? You'd like to throw in someone who really doesn't look anywhere near ready for the league yet? So we'd have potentially another weak link playing on a regular basis to go with Reina, Gerrard & Allen. Unconvinced.Originally posted by G View Post
I'd like to see him get a run of games to see what he can do instead of seeing players with no future here playing ahead of him.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

The last time I looked Michu didn't play for us. So I say again, why all this frenetic worrying about why this lad doesn't play every game? He's just a cheap squad player and he''ll get his chance over time and he might make a player. If not, we haven't lost the sort of money Dalglish was squandering on average players. I'm genuinely baffled why people give Assaidi's situation a second thought.Originally posted by G View PostMichu was only £2m,price can have no bearing on ability.

Oh, and he's been injured too, not that this entirely rational explanation for his absence should distract anyone....

Over Cole or Downing, absolutely.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostWhilst the team is struggling? How is he going to get ready for the league without playing in it and how has he looked unready having barely featured?
If he's injured fine but if he's not he should be at the very least on the bench most games ready to play a part

Think people are baffled because the few times we've seen him he has looked like he could bring more to the team than either Cole or Downing.Originally posted by Redspin View PostThe last time I looked Michu didn't play for us. How many appearences has he actually made with a full strength (or near full strength) team? I don't think we can judge him until we have seen him play with a strong team. I find it odd that he hasn't even been on the bench for most PL games given the lack of depth in our squad. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ajax and Galatasaray are interested in Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi - less than six months after he moved to Anfield.
Assaidi joined the Reds from Dutch club Heerenveen in a £3m deal last August.
But he has found first-team opportunities hard to come by - he's made just seven appearances, none of which have come in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old, who is set to feature for Morocco at this month's African Cup of Nations, is contracted to Liverpool until 2016 and it appears unlikely that the Merseysiders will cash in on him so soon after signing him.
But both Ajax and Galatasaray have hopes of securing the winger on a temporary basis, and they are considering loan bids before the end of the January transfer window.

Probably nonsense, but a strange transfer all round. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
