All, the post above is the third different post we've had to edit in this thread due to the use of the word "mong".

Now some people may not see the problem with the word, but many do, and so we would ask that people refrain from using it. It goes in line with the site rules:

Sexist, racist, bigoted, or "special needs" insults of any kind will not be tolerated and will be removed. A sense of humour is allowed, but we should all know where to draw the line.
    Muchos gracias amigos.

Former Manchester United player Paddy Crerard has hit back at Roy Keane for agreeing with Nani's red card.

He told BBC Ulster: "Roy Keane was in a minority of one. Not one person said it was a red card except Roy. Roy Keane is the one person that has come out and categorically stated that he should have been sent off.

"Nobody else agrees with him so why are we talking about Roy Keane? Why do we not talk about the 99.9% of people who said it wasn't a sending off.

"Why are we talking about Roy Keane - because he played for Manchester United. Well, let me tell you something, I played with Manchester United, I played in a European Cup final, Roy didn't. The referee was wrong."

          LOVING IT

At the time, I think he did... I was dying to wade in and firstly remind him that the ref being Turkish had nothing to do about it and then laugh at them all but I stayed well away.

The only thing that comes close to the enjoyment of LFC winning a European Cup is Utd being shafted by a ref and knocked out of the cup. Brilliant

The bookies never miss a trick. Press release just in: Rooney 5/2 to leave #MUFC this summer, and 3-1 to PSG, after 'flood of bets.'

Everton manager David Moyes on BBC Radio 5 live: "I think tonight Sir Alex Ferguson will be rightly as angry as he has ever been. The decision changed the game. I am looking from a manager's point of view and Manchester United have had a hard time tonight. I think they have a right to surround the referee. The decision was poor and it has cost them the biggest prize in football."

After being labelled derisively as the 'old and fat one' by the Manchester United manager, the Brazil legend has classed the comments as an unprofessional blunder by Ferguson.

Brazil legend Ronaldo has hit back at Sir Alex Ferguson after the Manchester United manager poked fun at his past battles with weight issues.

The Scot described Ronaldo as the "old and fat one" when asked to compare the 36-year-old to his namesake Cristiano ahead of the Spanish giants' visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday. When asked about Ferguson's disparaging remarks during a FIFA visit to Arena Pernambuco, one of the venues for the 2014 World Cup, Ronaldo remained diplomatic.

"I respect his opinions, I'm not pretentious as to expect that everyone will think I'm the best," Ronaldo told reporters. "I'm happy for what I achieved in football and for having been chosen as the best in the world.

"I feel sorry for the disrespectful manner in which he referred to me, it's something that's not good for someone of his position."

Ronaldo was widely revered for his impact on the footballing world, with the Brazilian scoring more than 400 goals during a glittered career that saw him win the World Cup twice and earn the accolade of FIFA World Player of the Year on three separate occasions.

Recently, the striker’s legacy has been sullied by his well-documented weight issues, forcing the former Real Madrid star to turn to reality TV to lose almost 40 pounds throughout the course of the Brazilian show - a staggering feat that he jokingly claimed Ferguson was unaware of.

"About my former figure, I have nothing add." Ronaldo said. "He clearly hasn't seen me since 'Medida Certa' [the show]."
