Most people would probably think 'fair enough, that was an unfortunate misunderstanding from the Brazilian guys that caused a storm in a teacup'. But the rent a racism quote brigade won't. They won't accept any explanation at all that doesn't involve racism and the FA letting black players down etc. The whole situation is poisonous whichever way you look at it.
With all the racism issues getting so much attention recently there is going to be pressure for a harsh punishment, the thing that alot of people seem to miss is that for the system to work effectively the accused has to be proved guilty. People have already said that his career is over, but it hasn't been established whether he is innocent or guilty yet. The FA are certainly in a difficult position...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Why has he come out with this? I think it's stupid for a manager who has had nothing to do with this to comment in this way, I doubt he knows anything about it.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostNeil Warnock's had his say:The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Also I guess he hasn't been getting on Sky sports news as much as he used to, perhaps this gives him a way back

There is only pressure for a harsh punishment because the FA didn't deal with the Suarez/Evra incident sensibly. I hope this exposes their incompetence massively, we need a governing body who are fit and proper not this shower of ****houses.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post

You only have to type "clat" in google before "Clattenburg racist" appears. The FA are hugely to blame for the state of all this bollocks. They had an opportunity to make things right yet chose to make their point. **** the FA anyway, I hope they rot in hell the *******s - it's not their game, it's ours. They think they hold the moral high ground, but they've ****ed up massively because they're ****ing stupid.

Both incidents were ****ed up by the FA massively. They're not above the law, as a governing body they failed to deal with both situations sensibly. There was an opportunity to calm this whole thing down 12 months ago, but the egotistical ******s thought they knew best.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI don't think either incident was handled all that badly. The biggest balls ups were the England captaincy stuff and all of the handshake stuff.

I've just read about the Serbian police wanting to arrest some of the England Under 21 team and coaches and the article talks about possible extradition and jail if found guilty of violence.
It seems absurd the publicity the Suarez, Terry and now this case have gotten relative to what they are accused of saying when compared with the blatant racism in Serbia by individuals and institutions that results in them trying to protect themselves with ridiculous stunts like this.
It's just incredible, the FA, the media, supporters and to some extent the players and the clubs feed themselves into a frenzy and then you see how FIFA, UEFA and other governments react (don't react) to much more serious racist problems in Europe and elsewhere.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be punished If Suarez, Terry and Clattenborg are guilty but their has to be some perspective by the UK governing bodies, media, supporters and players.

Attention has been completely shifted from the fact the game was rigged.. IMO but it just seemed to obvious! Nobody can make **** up after **** up in favor of 1 side, if he was incompetent then it'd have been more even! Van Persie for his elbow, Evans for his tackle of Torres.Vive la France

Give it a break. I remember Drogba scoring a goal against Utd 3 years ago or so that gave Chelsea the title basically. No one was calling that rigged. Torres should have been sent off for his DeJong style kick earlier. Was the ref bribed by Chelsea then?
Maybe Everton bribed the linesmen to give that goal offside. All of these things are bad refereeing. Nothing more.*Except Michael, who died.
