Not a specific line, but when commentators try to add accents to players' and team names.

Example: Valencia turns into Valenthia. Daveeeed Veeeya with added emphasis.

Sort of agree on this. Cazorla is a prime example. Saying Caz-orla is lazy. The correct way of saying it is Ca-thor-la.

I remember some commentator used to pronounce Thierry Henrys last name as 'Henry' Its just laziness

But some can go the other way and try to over pronounce it.

Bremmen instead of Brey-menn.

I think the accent pronunciation is down to the fact that a lot of football fans / English folk aren't aware how foreign letters and words are said.

And I do feel a bit silly saying Cathorla in front of me mates when we're talking football.
