Lol, my original comment was an ironic comment based on early musings in the thread from others about Wigan and the fact they don't deserve to be in the PL, which grates on me being half my family are from Wigan. So I was wondering if the poster's would rather see a club like Millwall in the top flight, if they fill the criteria.

Nah, Millwall have got a massive fan base and sold all their tickets, they'd be a welcome addition to the Pl I think, not like wigan who play good football, have a local fan base and spend within their means.

Apparently Wigan aren't welcome in the Pl either, due to the fact they have a small fan base and are a rugby town. The fact they play good football, are in the league on merit and are a good example to other small clubs is inconsequential. So I figured obviously other criteria must be consideredl instead.
