Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

From memory, that William Watt chap is quite a good source of Blackpool information?
So, we've plastered our interest in Ince and Sturridge throughout the media - saying deals are almost as good as done - when in fact, we haven't even agreed a fee? And when we do fax a bid (coz everybody still uses fax), it's an insulting bid to boot.
We've clearly learnt a lot from our pursuit of Dempsey and it makes our recent apology look so very sincere. I expect FSG to plaster a Tom Ince player profile on their website shortly.

Unlike with the Chadam deal if its a no then they're welcome to keep Ince.
Ince will get annoyed and stop scoring for them, get sold to Leicester City or suchlike and we'll get 35% of any deal that probably won't be more than £2million. That will leave Oyston with under a million and no more goals from basically their star player.
Or that's what I would shove down Oyston's throat if I was Ayre.
Edit: Or Spurs step in with an £8 million bid and they basically line our pockets instead. Maybe also saving us from another Sigurdson/Dempsey mistake.
The more I think about it the more this is a win-win for us. That 35% clause was genius.Last edited by BigChief; 20-12-12, 04:32 PM.One tit for another.

our negotiating skills are wank. we buy players for gold, and sell them for shiny beads or magic beans

Yup.Originally posted by BigChief View PostIf Ince continues scoring and really does turn into a good player, then fair enough.
However, until then he (and Sturridge) are stepping stone players. Class players are few and far between but stepping stone players are plentysome. We'll look elsewhere.
