Haven't been paying a huge amount of attention but is this correct? Ince is out of contract in 6 months anyway?

He signed a 2 year contract with Blackpool with the option for a third. I have no idea idea how the 3rd year of the contract is triggered though. So in theory he is out of contract in a few months.

Liverpool have not yet made another approach to sign Blackpool winger Thomas Ince after their failed bid last month, Michael Appleton has confirmed.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a swoop for the highly-rated 20-year-old, who left Anfield for just £250,000 in August 2011.

But Appleton says the Merseysiders are yet to come back with an improved offer for the England Under-21 international, who has netted 13 goals in the Championship this term.

“We have not heard anything since an initial Liverpool approach a couple of weeks ago,” said Appleton.

“As far as I am aware Thomas will have a day off tomorrow like everyone else and come back to prepare for the next game with us.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool are expected to complete the £12m signing of striker Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea in the coming days.

If Ince or Blackpool get to greedy? Then let him stay there but, I think that Rogers really wants him imo

Sports Editor of the Liverpool Echo John Thompson said that he doesn't think we'll up our offer of £4m for Tom Ince.

No problem with that he is out of contract in the summer isn't he?

We can wait. Downing and Sterling appear to be showing some form now.

Blackpool have an option to extend his contract by a year. However it's not clear whether both parties have to agree with it. They did the same with Charlie Adam when we were interested in buying him.

Family affair: Tom Ince works with dad to try and push through Liverpool move

Blackpool winger wants to leave before the weekend to make sure he's not ineligible for the FA Cup

Liverpool target Thomas Ince is in showdown talks with Blackpool - as he tries to push through a move before the weekend.

England under-21 starlet Ince wants the move back to Anfield and is worried about playing in the FA Cup and becoming ineligible for the competition.

Ince and father Paul are in discussions with the Seasiders about thrashing out the fee and issues over a 10 per cent sell-on that are due to the young attacker.

Liverpool have made an offer at £5 million and may go further, but talks between the clubs have been difficult in the past few weeks.

Now Ince junior and senior are keen to keep the deal alive and have taken matters into their own hands.

I guess we'll find out on the weekend. If he plays then I reckon the chances of signing him are slim if it's not already.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
