They have cup tied him deliberately imo. The deal is obviously not close to being done as the media suggested. I'm also not convinced we can get him for next to nothing in the summer. I have a feeling his contract is similar to Adam's and it will be extended. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

True mate but as i said in other thread Blackpool are ****ers to deal with & even though he could go in the summer and Blackpool with lose out, they still will try their best to get stupid money if he goes in January.

But we don't know if he can go for free in the summer though. We do know that Blackpool have an option to extend Ince's contract by a further year but whether all parties have to agree is not clear. They extended Adam's contract even though they knew we were interested.

I don't know how desperate we are to sign him, but I personally would have no problem turning our attentions elsewhere so we don't have to deal with that **** house Oyston. There are plenty of other decent players out there for the price we're going to end up having to pay.

I don't see why we should be held to ransom just because we have a sell on clause that reduces the price.

Michael Appleton hopes Tom Ince and Alex Baptiste will stay at Blackpool

Blackpool boss Michael Appleton hopes Tom Ince and Alex Baptiste will stay at the club after starting the pair in the 1-1 FA Cup third round draw with Fulham on Saturday.

Speculation has linked Ince and Baptiste with being on the brink of joining Liverpool and Leicester respectively.

But Appleton had no qualms cup-tying the pair as he saw his side earn a draw after Ludovic Sylvestre's opener was equalised by Giorgos Karagounis' late strike.

"I certainly hope they will stay," he said.

"To me, they did not look fazed about anything going on off-field."

He added of Ince: "He is going through an indifferent period because of all the speculation but he is coping with it really well.

"I know how difficult it can be, so he has to take credit for that and I am sure that once the speculation settles down, his performances will pick up again.

"Liverpool made an offer two weeks ago but we have not received anything since. It was a case of, 'That's not enough. You'll have to do better if you want him'.

"Until that changes, he will stay here."
