Hopefully the name Sneijder will conjure up some 70s movie memories for JWH and Werner and they may want to get their teeth into this transfer.

If it is only us and Galatasary, you'd have to wonder why.

The transfer fee is 7.5m Euros. So basically the same fee we are being asked to pay for Tom Ince

Yeah and as we've all eluded to the wages would be vastly different too.

Tancredi Palmeri says Wesley is currently on £103k p/w at Inter. Gala have offered him £68k p/w. Transfer fee is £6.2m.
Maybe the wages are affected by tax, but I'm not sure why other clubs are not in at that price

Tax in UK 50%, in Turkey its 19% but I'd be amazed if any of them pay at PAYE rates.
Their accountants want shooting if they do.

He'd be in a similar tax bracket here too, right? Similar to Italy I mean.

Similar Tax bands in Turkey too. Not much difference in higher tax bands IIRC UK 45% from April 2013 to 35% in Turkey

Can see it's a pretty big outlay to get Sneijder. But his signing would create a huge buzz. Would probably add a few £'s to the merchandising revnue too. An on-form Sneijder could make a huge difference to us and put us up a few levels

It's staggered. Different portions of your earnings taxed at different rates up to 43% for income over 75k.
Thank you Google

Sadly I don't think any German clubs would take a risk on him either - they're so spot on with finances.
