Can see it's a pretty big outlay to get Sneijder. But his signing would create a huge buzz. Would probably add a few £'s to the merchandising revnue too. An on-form Sneijder could make a huge difference to us and put us up a few levels

This is the only reason FSG would stump up the cash - for a 'marquee' signing... and this would also placate Gerrard's call for 'older quality'.

Other than Sneijder interest (if we are interested) we're back in the sub-25 yr category...

i tend to disagree. robben is a one trick pony, constantly injured and living off a reputation gained in the past. ribery is great on his day but a moody, uninterested diva most of the time. müller and kroos are, well, meh. blowing hot and cold. being austrian, i'd say alaba is their best player
