If you also add the Aspas transfer when we pissed off Celta Vigo allegedly then IMO something stinks.
Nonsense Arn, find me one quote from Celta Vigo to show we pissed anyone off there with the Aspas deal. And not that agent stuff that turned out to be hot air, but that the way we did business annoyed Celta. And we did nothing of the sort with Suarez either, that was a perfectly normal transfer too as far as our actions were concerned.
IMO you are putting 2 + 2 together and making 375.93

De Boer is trying to do what he can to convince him to stay and consider all options refusing to do business with Liverpool. Mainly because we don't supply the biscuits during negotiations,
Of course teams will warn off clubs their best players but it almost never happen that a club name the club in the media they way Shakhtar and now Ajax done.
If only one of them had done it then I wouldn't worry at all but two clubs doing it in a short time is a bit worrying.

Could it be down to something as simple as we are not in the CL so clubs can play a little bit more hard ball with us because while players may want to come the selling clubs may have CL and can say they have as much if not more to offer, therefore keep upping the price?
I like eriksen and hes ready for a bigger challenge but we already have plenty of players who can play that no.10 role. Suarez, coutinho, Gerrard and even Luis Alberto could all play that role.
I wouldn't like to see eriksen come and coutinho be shunted onto the left. I think we are looking for a different type of no.10 more lampard than say eriksen.

more strootman maybe. less goals and assists, more beef.
eriksen in the middle, with cout left and aspas right, so much creativity and all well capable of putting it away.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
