??? How? We met his release clause? And I'm almost certain Commoli said the transfer of Suarez was very easyOriginally posted by Arn View PostShakthar also warned the player off from joining us. I find it a bit worrying that two clubs in a very short time warn off a player from joining us.
We pissed off Celta Vigo when we made business with them.
I don't think we have the best reputation out there to say the least when it comes down to transfer negotiations. My kebab comes with chilli sauce

Exactly, that's why. We didn't pay more than we had to.
As a result Celta Vigo have joined the ever-lengthening list of clubs that hate us. They, like so many others, will always tell their best players to sign for anyone but us, they will refuse to sell unless we pay a billion pounds in bribes to agents and they will only buy our players if they can get them on the cheap.
Only Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Blackpool will deal with us.
We already have Mignolet.
QED.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

QEDA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I don't think there was (is) an issue with Celta? Didn't we meet them in the middle of two release clauses (dependent on their survival) and the only hiccup was the mix up in agents?Originally posted by Arn View PostOf course teams will warn off clubs their best players but it almost never happen that a club name the club in the media they way Shakhtar and now Ajax done.
If only one of them had done it then I wouldn't worry at all but two clubs doing it in a short time is a bit worrying.
If you also add the Aspas transfer when we pissed off Celta Vigo allegedly then IMO something stinks.
Let's say Ajax and Shakhtar are pissed at Liverpool. Chelsea, Inter Milan, Sevilla, Sunderland didn't say a bad word. So is the (made-up) issue on that greater scale anyway?

Have you got any evidence whatsoever of any of this? Or is it all just 'what you think' ?Originally posted by Arn View PostDid you miss the two IMO?
When we signed Suarez he had to beg them to accept our offer. They had walked away from the deal after we had made a few very low bids.
Ajax reaction that time

IIRC.
Then you can also add the defender that we are linked with that suddenly is on the way to Norwich.
Then you can also add de Boer himself turning us down.
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Are you OK being a Liverpool supporter? It seems we don't live up to your expectations at all, and you has a very low opinions of usOriginally posted by Arn View PostShakthar also warned the player off from joining us. Frank de Boer thinks Ajax star Christian Eriksen should ignore Liverpool
Ajax coach Frank de Boer has warned Christian Eriksen against moving to Liverpool due to concerns about the club's playing style, according to Goal.com.
The Denmark international has been tipped to move to Anfield following Henrikh Mkhitaryan's switch to Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga giants were expected to compete with Liverpool for Eriksen, but the signing of the Armenian international most likely takes them out of the running.
Serie 'A' outfit Roma are also interested. And De Boer thinks Eriksen should ignore any offer from Liverpool should it be forthcoming.
"If they play as they do now, I would not go," de Boer told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.
"The playing style would not suit his own, but ultimately it is for Chris himself to decide."
21-year-old Eriksen is out of contract at Ajax next summer, which means the Dutch champions will have to sell before the transfer window closes if they want to recoup a significant fee.
Liverpool have been active early in the market this summer, with Brendan Rodgers already clinching moves for Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas.
The two La Liga captures bolster a strong looking attacking lineup at Anfield, which boasts Coutinho, Luis Suarez and Danny Sturridge.

Any devotees of Dutch football who can provide some insight into what makes the styles so incompatible?

If only Rafa was in charge of transfers rather than that bloody rookie idiot Rodgers !! What are FSG doing !?!? They didn't even interview Rafa last summer, the fools !!!!!Originally posted by Arn View PostOf course teams will warn off clubs their best players but it almost never happen that a club name the club in the media they way Shakhtar and now Ajax done.

I think rather than some mad theory about how we piss everyone off, De Boer's comments are more about him not letting Ajax be seen as an inferior club. Ajax are a big prestigious club constantly forced into selling their best players so it's only right that they don't act like pushovers. I also seriously doubt the idea that we piss other clubs off - what does that even mean?Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Henderson provides the cover and the defensive ability of another central midfield player which means that we will never be overrun in the middle of the pitch.
i think the front four is really suarez, sturridge, coutinho and gerrard who interchanges with henderson. the other great thing about henderson is that he knows how to break from midfield so the opposition cant ignore his threat.
so the question is where would Joe Allen fit into the side or at who's expense?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
