I think Eriksen was nailed on until Coutinho came in and produced the goods. Now I think we've cooled and I could probably see why. We don't have a bottomless pit of money and I think we need to prioritise positions.

lots of movement from the front three. all happy to come deeper when needed, they will drag defenders all over the place. goals from eriksen and gerrard from midfield, too. both gerrard and eriksen will also drop back to take burden off lucas. our counter attacking will be electric.

He makes some terrific runs forward, is creative and scores some good goals. I thought he was more box to box?Originally posted by baitman View Postfrom what i have heard and read i think strootman is more of a DM, but if we could get him too then yeh.

wiki reckon 14 goals in 80 games in the last two years.
also;
Playing in a primarily central midfield position, he can also feature as a holding midfielder or a deep lying playmaker

I really hope Fellaini goes to United! He can't play CM, my bluenose mates have been telling me all season. Behind the striker he's unplayable but when he drops deep he's not much use at all and even they had a problem with the way he seems to elbow people every 10 minutes.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostThink Moyes would fancy Fellaini more in CM. Strrotman is there to be had if we act now.
Either long ball to Fellaini or he'll stop them bringing in a proper CM to fill that massive void they have.Vive la France

Fellaini was superb for Liege playing CM. I remember he marked a world class Stevie G out of two games in 08. he's a dirty ******* but he's excellent.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostI really hope Fellaini goes to United! 2008 was 5 years ago and based on what I've seen of him he hasn't played very well in that role but I thought it was just me catching him on off days. Apparently he's been below par pretty much all the time when playing in a deeper role at Everton, we've seen that man marking applied a lot and to be honest its not that difficult because your sacrificing your entire own game to stop another players. Fellaini certainly doesn't do that anymore.Originally posted by danperkins View PostFellaini was superb for Liege playing CM. Few of my mates Everton supporters and they say he's incredibly versatile and excellent in either role.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View Post2008 was 5 years ago and based on what I've seen of him he hasn't played very well in that role but I thought it was just me catching him on off days. IMO he would be a superb buy for United and i'd be gutted if they got him.
