I'd be happy if we could sign either of them but both are in high demand and the fact that we are not competing in Europe at all next year and haven't qualify for CL for last 4 years is a huge problem.

Eriksen can be the long term successor to Gerrard (from an attacking perspective anyway, don't think there is anyone that can really replace Stevie)

Do we really need Eriksen? I can't really comment because I haven't seen enough of him.

But do we need more creative players? Of course! Coutinho and Sturridge have been fantastic, but they've both had off days - particularly DS. Being able to take them off after 60 mins when they've had a bad game and replace them with a genuinely creative threat - rather than someone like Shelvey or Assaidi - would revolutionise our chances.

If Eriksen is that creative threat then we should go all out for him - particularly at the rumoured price.

It'd be odd if true seeing as it's gone this far... but I actually think there's better value for money out there than Eriksen. Fabulous talent though but a bit over-priced at the moment.
