Will he? Clarke left Chelsea in 2008, which is when Anelka joined. I think they were at the club together for about six months. I guess it's enough to get a feel for a player though.Originally posted by red g View PostClarke will know him well from his Chelsea days but seems a bit of a desperate signing to me.
Sure they could have got better.

They are making interesting signings this summer. The league will be pretty interesting, Southampton are also doing shrewd business as well as Swansea. Everton might find it tough.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostNorwich have signed Nathan Redmond.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Chavs have agreed a fee (8m) for Van Ginkel.
Good signing.....if they actually play him."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Gomez to join Fiorentina from Bayern
Munich - FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the transfer of Mario Gomez to the Serie A side.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge struck the deal with his Fiorentina counterpart Andrea Della Valle on Monday and the paperwork will be signed in the next few days.
Major contribution to Bayern's success
“It was Mario Gomez’s wish to leave FC Bayern and move to Florence, and we have now fulfilled that wish,” said Rummenigge on his club’s website. “I would like to thank him for his performances for FC Bayern and, on behalf of FC Bayern, wish him lots of happiness and success in Florence.”
The 27-year-old Germany international scored 112 goals in 172 games for the record German champions. “With those, he made a major contribution to two Bundesliga titles and two DFB Cup successes,” added Rummenigge. “The highlight, of course, was winning the Champions League and the treble last season.”
