Why appoint someone they have got rid of (twice?) previously
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I'd give a young manager a chance, someone like Eddie Howe to lead the U21s.
We need to develop young managers in this country as well as the players & having dinosaurs like Taylor come back in isn't going to improve things one jot.
How come there is seemingly little interest in this tournament?
In the Babel year it seemed like everyone was watching or was it a case of people tuning in for the final and then proclaiming to be experts on Babel, Drenthe etc?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Isn't Taylor supposed to be a good coach (as opposed to manager) though. Perhaps not as bad an idea as has been suggested?

Well he has been kicking around coaching different England Youth sides for a little while now. It makes sense as a promotion in that respect. But if he is a good coach, why not keep him as that. From memory every time he has managed a side, he hasn't done too well.
They're like gangling schoolboys trying to get their feet to do what the brain suggests but there is a turbo lag before delivery. real odd..the tripping colt over the ball gif comes to mind. oh and they're **** really...
Wisdom has been immense. Zaha is a £15m David Bellion, Obertan type. Ferguson may have been able to improve him but Moyes wont. Be gone within 2 years back to Palace or one of Fergusons chief arselickers.
