He's one of those managers who insists - for reasons known only to him - on wearing shorts and football boots while on the touchline. Managers who do this always make me laugh, it's ridiculous
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He also says "Barclays Premier League" about a hundred times a minute.

I've often wondered about this. Do broadcasters, managers and players etc get some sort of payment from Barclays everytime they mention their name?

I don't know but any of them who go on about "the football club" or "this football club" deserve to be shot.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I don't know about payment but they are contractually obliged somehow to mention the sponsor's name.

Yeah I kinda gathered it was something like that.

Next time I'm out in the pub talking footy with the lads I'm going to constantly refer to it as the Barclays Premier League.

I'll refer to it as the Premiership to annoy everyone.

It was during Hodgson's era. The number of people bigging Coyle up was frightening.

That's going to be annoying soon I expect.

As I was making dibd I heard Owen Coyle being intervied on 5Live. Within three minutes he said "this football club".

Dibd was good though. Chiggub, sabd.

I don't rate him, but think Coyle is probably one of the best options they could have got given that he has Premiership experience, experience getting a side out of the Championship and he probably wouldn't demand as high wages as the bigger names.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
