I doubt it will happen though, presumably they throw money around in January, and even if they don't get it right they will surely buy enough quality to stop them going down. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Think it is something like £190m they can spend before they even start to spend what they can spend based on current earnings so FFP is not going to be an issue for them (Not that it ever seems to be for sports washing clubs)
Read that they had under spent (compared to what they could have done under FFP) by that £190m figure so they are effectively starting at - 190m when it comes to FFP.
190m could well bring in enough solid to good players to get them out of the bottom three and staying in the PL for next season.
Then a few dodgy sponsorship deals for naming/advertising rights to training grounds/stadium/playing kit/away kits/training kits etc and they would be increasing their earnings and further increasing their spending limitsI don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah, they're going to be throwing money around on comparative rubbish in January. I'd be surprised if anyone they sign in January is still there in 4 years time.

It could happen - they are manager less and while they are a hugely appealing project there is fine amount of risk associated with managing them now. I wonder who’ll they sign in the winter window - I reckon a few big names on loan + some prem proven players used to winning a relegation battleOriginally posted by danperkins View PostIt would be glorious
If they go down it throws their plans out by a few years

They will at least push them up into mid table this year. Those guys might not be around long term but it's probably a 2 or 3 stage build anyway to get them to where they want to be, very few of the players that they sign in the next couple of years would be around or at least playing regularly for them in 4 or 5 years anyway if things go to their plan.Originally posted by spud_gun View Post
