It’s really very sad behaviour isn’t it. At the end of the day it’s just a game of football.

Wait until he has just one night out in the Bigg Market. All that will seem tame as ****.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostDoes it really matter why though?
He was getting regular abuse for month coming and going to training, after games and when on foot going around the city with his partner and friends.
He is a young lad who was getting groups of grown men, all strangers to him, squaring up to him on a regular bases. Blocking his vehicle, hitting the windows, shouting abuse. Even worse was that the same was happening when he was on foot.
And does not matter if it is only a supposed minority doing it, for him it would have been a continuous thing that he was having to endure constantly.
Don't really care if he is an overrated player, dresses like a **** or whatever, he is a local lad basically being intimated in his own city and who now will get even more abuse for leaving that city (blue side of it) that treated him like ****.
All the bull**** about respect campaigns in football, kick this out and kick that out, but a player, a kid really agewise, being pretty bullied and abused on camera is being let slip under the radar.
I bet anyone on here who has a 20 or 21 yo son, daughter, nephew, niece whatever would be raging if they saw that sort of **** being done to them.
Wrong is wrong and bullies doing that sort of **** should always be called out or at the very least be highlighted for what they are doing imo.
Same bunch of pricks would be running to solicitors if they got singled out in their private lives in the same manner.Modifying post.

That's the nasty tribal side of football. Sometimes people forget, it's just a game.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostDoes it really matter why though?

It is bullying and abuse, plain and simple.
And is it really tribal when you are doing it against one of your own and long before there were any talks of selling him?
Is simply a mob mentality amongst thug minded people who would then swear blind that they are salt of the earth good people.
Plenty of other sports could be said to have tribal followings and passionate rivalries. How often do we see footage of players having their cars stopped, then hit and shaken whilst the drive has all sorts of abuse screamed at him or her?
Too easy in my eyes to just chalk it down to just being a tribal thing. It is a nasty undercurrent that festers in parts of society that has been emboldened in recent years.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Ah football is out on its own with regards to the tribal nature of the fans. It is nasty as I have said & it is also tribal as I have said. Their also cunts, which I have not said.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostIt is bullying and abuse, plain and simple.

First non LFC game I've seen for a while, I keep hearing how good Trippier's delivery from set pieces is, his delivery today was ****, I watched him take so many **** corners, did he have a particularly bad day or is he just way over hyped? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
