This isn't unusual in itself, the amount paid for shares is often above par value - they seem to be issuing one new share every time a new Director is appointed.

There's still probably something dodgy going on though

Up to third after heating United - them getting a CL place this season would be a disaster for us. It’d move them well on in their project and they can buy from the top table

Not convinced by that. If they were to get CL footy, then they are going to have to play a lot of top games next season and it will impact them. Eddie Howe won't last 12 months from now.

Why?

Chelsea are underperforming more than we are, they have a better squad and if they get a good manager in they’ll be trouble. Utd have a competent manager and will spend, maybe with new owners they’ll spend a lot. We’re not catching city. Arsenal, hard to tell if they can keep improving but I wouldn’t bet against it. Surely we’ll improve, but we have a lot of catching up to do to be confident of top four.

Yeah I think we'll find it tough over the next few years reaching/staying in top 4. We've had our time and won some stuff (could have won more). Ideally would have lasted longer but we shot ourselves in the foot with not strengthening when we needed to. With Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle strengthening it isn't looking great. The hope is well be better than 1 of those each year for CL.

Pretty much, and hope spurs or anyone else fail to make strides. A brilliant turn around is obviously not impossible, but you can’t expect it.
