    Chelsea and City have the best attack IMO.

    RVP excellent, but Rooney hasnt been brilliant a couple of seasons, Hernandez has his impressive goal-ratio but offers nothing else.

    RVP = Suarez
    Rooney < Coutinho
    Hernandez < Sturridge
    Nani -> gluefactory

    As for Valencia and Wellbeck... Really? I mean REALLY? Wellbeck only scores for England - he is as prolific as Downing was. Valencia hasn't been great for some time too.

    If RVP got a nasty injury United would be ****ed... proper ****ed.

      Are you saying Coutinho is better than Rooney?
      I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
      There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

        I'd say there is a top tier of forwards in the league (world class): Aguero, RVP, Hazard, Bale, and Suarez. Bale aside (who looks like he'll be off anyway), I'd take Suarez over any of them.

        After that you've got a second tier of strikers who are top 4 quality. Players like Rooney, Mata, Sturridge, Silva, Jovetic and Schurrle (I can see them both settling in no problem unfortunately - especially Jovetic). Sturridge holds his own in that company in my opinion.

        You'd have to hope that Willian is someone who would fit into that second tier fairly comfortably (for the price!). Our attack would certainly be at least on par with any other side in the premiership. Perhaps not in terms of depth (and even then, that's somewhat debatable given that we don't know how Aspas, Alberto and Borini will fair this season), but certainly in terms of starting 11.

          I know which one I'd rather have.

          It's debatable anyway - but certainly - one is on the up, the other is on his way down.

            Would you swap Rooney for Coutinho?

            Rooney might well be better at this moment in time (and it wouldn't be by that much), but in a year or two Coutinho will be on another level imo.

              Yup! Even my scummy inlaw think he has been off the boil a long time.

              Would you swap Rooney for Coutinho? I wouldn't

                No chance I'd swap that fat lay about for Phil. Absolutely no chance.

                  Great minds! But I dont even think Rooney is better at this moment in time. I haven't got his stats from last season, but I doubt that its impressive reading. Coutinho on the other hand...

                  [Disclaimer: Yes, I know stats aint all, but it does indicate a bit for attacking players, when you look at chances made, assists, goals, etc.]

                        I'd take Coutinho over Rooney every day of the week.

                          I think Rooney is still decent on stats to be fair. He got 12 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League last year. That's not too bad really.

                          Coutinho had 3 goals and 7 assists in roughly half a season. Double it and you'd have 6 goals, and 14 assists.

                          Reece's point is the key one though, Phil is on the up, where as Rooney is already on the decline.

                            Actually not fair on Phil to double it, after checking more he only really played 10 games worth of football, so you'd have to almost quadruple it.

                            Let's call it 12 goals and 28 assists

                            Have that you fat *******!
