I think BR should put the 5 EC's on the bonnet of the car and wait outside whatever hotel Willian's staying in

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to take their summer spending to over £90m with the signing of Anzhi Makhachkala forward Willian.
The two clubs have agreed a £30m deal with the Brazilian in London currently undergoing a medical. Though the deal is not fully complete and there is a small possibility he could still opt for Liverpool, Spurs look increasingly likely to make their fifth summer signing.
Liverpool were originally thought to be favourites to sign Willian, but Spurs decided to revisit their interest in the former Shakhtar Donestk player. Andre Villas-Boas had attempted to sign Willian in January, with chairman Daniel Levy travelling to Ukraine to speak to negotiate a deal with Shaktar, but the player moved to Russian club Anzhi instead.
But with Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov putting the entire first-team squad up for sale, Spurs decided to take advantage and bid.
With Spurs' having already signed forward players Nacer Chadli and Roberto Soldado, and the potential arrival of Willian to follow, there will be more doubt over Gareth Bale's future at the club.
The transfer would also take Tottenham within less than £10m of Manchester City's summer expenditure and make them the Premier League's second-highest spenders.
It will represent a big blow to Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, who have already missed out on attacking targets Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Diego Costa.
Mkhitaryan, the club's first-choice attacking target this summer, opted to join Borussia Dortmund while Atletico Madrid's Costa signed a new deal with the Spanish side. Willian, who was indentified as their top target once his availability became known, looks to be the third big attacking signing they will miss out on this summer.Oh I don't know.

I can't be arsed about losing this guy cos I've never seen him play but what does piss me off is we've lost him to Spurs who have very little more to offer than us and look very likely to be selling their best player while we kept ours. Not to mention that this is yet another top target we have publicly chased and ended up not getting.
We have to chase top players but its the public part of it that makes no sense, this lad is the 3rd player we've been "confident" of signing and not managed it,re-enforces the view in the mind of other players that we are also ran's these days.Maybe those in the upper echelons at the club think the name Liverpool holds more sway that it actually does these days.

Spurs are gambling nothing. They're essentially spending the Bale money.Originally posted by Baracus View PostChampions League is worth 100m to the winners this year approx 60m to those that qualify for Final Stages. Spurs are gambling but its a risk worth taking when you have extra 40m revenue from TV in premiership alone.
If they were to keep Bale then that'd be a different matter.

Spurs now look set to complete moves for Wilian and Erik Lamela. Anyone would think they were about to come into some money.I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
