No wonder Valencia was so eager to let him go on a loan.

Shame really as we definitely could use decent LB.

I said when we first got him that he had the potential, but there was a reason why Valencia were willing to let him go. He isn't the flying wing-back we saw at Porto. His timing of runs at Valencia, decision-making were all off. He looked lost a number of times, and when we were linked with him, I'm sure folk were expecting a full-back in the mould of Ashley Cole or Marcelo, when his form in La Liga showed otherwise.

The problem with Cissokho is that he isn't an intelligent full-back. If Rodgers can improve that aspect somewhat, then we'd see a much better player, but it takes time, and that is something I don't think we're willing to invest in, especially when it seems like Rodgers is looking at an upgrade from Enrique.

Anyway, any serious injuries we should know about?
BR didn't say anything that I know but many what I consider reputable sources claimed we were in for him.

Granada wanted to sell him but what they wanted was not what we were willing to pay.

Very late in the transfer window supposedly Real Madrid showed an interest and Sequeira was holding for that deal which also failed in the end and with little time left he was loaned to Benfica which happened after we went for Cissokho.

He is limited in what he can do especially on the offensive end.

He is not technically polished so he has the tough time taking a man and when he does have the chance to cross the ball he doesn't look who to cross the ball to, he just puts it in the box and hopes someone will be there.

Defensively he is very much hit and miss and that worries me a lot.

Time will tell but I don't see him having any future with us after his loan spell is over.

Average positions show that Sakho is trying to mount him

Not getting wide enough by the looks of that

Either that or Sahko doesn't trust him enough to handle the ball.

He's level with Toure on the other side in fairness.

I Imagine thats where they met Carzola and Ozil.

Though he did okay today, but I don't think he's ever going to be top class, which we really need. I actually think Enrique is starting to look like a very good player, but I'd be really looking at competing with Spurs for Coentrao or someone of that ilk.

Poor opposition....and he was again our worst player. Not good enough at all.

When you see the difference Johnson makes down the right it puts Cissokho in perspective, he's on loan so it's a no brainer but he needs to improve and soon to win a contract

he did make a very important defensive run and challenge in the box.

                                not much else.
