What does he need to do to get himself a deal? Beat 3 or 4 players every match and score? Flannagan gets skinned 2 or 3 times per match but people don't make too much fuss about it.
    Are we winning?

Not really, he just needs to look the part ... or show that he has ability to look the part. Cissokho has shown neither; he looks calamitous and is not the answer to our left back position. Why spend precious transfer funds on another stop-gap?

I'm all for giving players time (I was a big advocate of Henderson judging him by his ability rather than performances), but sometimes you can just tell when some players are at the wrong club.

Hmmm I disagree that he's calamitous. Fullback is arguably one of the most difficult positions to get right in BR's system, so we may still be talking about how calamitous our next fullback is in two years time.

Think he did alright myself,Bar first few minutes when they had a lot of attacks down their right side but most players would struggle against Navas and Zabaleta and he didn't get much help from Coutinho.Johnson was terrible though.

He is too slow to get back into position, and also quite indecisive in defense.

cissoko was floundering a few times, but not as lost as glen. aly did made a couple of decent runs and contributed to a couple of attacks.

I disagree that he looks calamitous though, Mudds. He looks ****.

I thought he played well yesterday. They barely troubled down his side for most of the game, he covered his position well, got forward and got past zabeleta a few times.

Looking the part can be decieving, it doesn't always indicate the job a player is doing.

Zabaletta + Navas on the right wing is probably one of the most dangerous combos in world football. I thought Cissohko and therefore us would get exposed plenty of times down there.

It was quite the opposite, they hardly had a look in while Aly actually managed to beat his man and put the ball in dangerously for us. Took me quite by surprise that. For that reason he was number 3. on my motm votes.

Edit: Forgot to add he had Coutinho 'helping' him down that wing, then that lazy barsteward Moses. Even more brownie points deserved methinks.

I thought he played rather well actually. If people judge players on one or two mistakes then every player in world football is ****.

                        Spot on mate

I'm not a fan of him in all honesty but he was very good the other night. All the **** he got for the first half - bare in mind City targeted him for the first ten minutes and he did well after being out of action for a good few weeks; after that he was steady and didn't put a foot wrong.

He's not going to be the long term solution, far from it, but if we have got him for cover and he carries on like that (hopefully) then he could have a very decent spell here.

I think he's exactly that - a good backup, but when Enrique and Flanno are fit then he shouldn't get anywhere near the team.

                            I'm happy enough with that.

With what we brought him in for, you can't expect him to do much more than he did the other night. Covered well, supported the attacks when needed; overall a steady performance.
