    Is he really that bad?

From what I've seen his control isn't great but he's putting a shift in down the left and is working hard for the team getting stuck in to be fair.

We do have a tendency to go for players that look calamities or are disastrous on the ball, goes hand in hand with being a Liverpool player especially if you're a defender!

Cissokho made perfect sense in the summer, we needed a leftback and on loan with an option to buy it was smart business but **** me what a brutal excuse of a footballer

          - yeah no issues with the signing - we needed a left back for cover, we didn't have millions to throw at it, he was available on loan, he's played at a decent level around europe and in the champions league

but my god is he ****

Yeah Slinky he's bad. I think the comparisons with PFK are fair. No howlers and, like you say, puts in a shift but opposition teams give him half a pitch worth of space just so we're forced to pass to him.

yeah the konk - or bombscare as i prefer to call him

jeez, he was as bad as anyone we have ever signed in my life -

but cissokho is not far off it poor control, no pace, can't head the ball - just seems to do the bare minimum required to class as footballer - if he didn't have a left foot he'd never have made it

...reminds me of a slightly bulkier Djimi Traore...

                ..but without the CL medal.

villa set up for him to bring the ball out of defence because they knew he wasnt going to do anything with it. he had plenty of touches but going forward created very little.

i agree with Mike in that cissoko looked phenomenal at porto but he's been terrible at valencia and he doesnt even look like he can play at top league level football anymore. But he;s better than nothing.

We were pursing Siqueira, which appeared to be our main target almost to the end of the window and with Real Madrid showing an interest (that didn't work out either) very late we gave ourselves very little time to find a new replacement.

He was available and it was a loan deal, which is why we went for him.

He used to be a good player but he is not any more.

It is 12-month loan deal and we are stuck with him until the season is over as Valencia would need to agree to take him back and they won't.

i get that Mos, but its a piss poor situation when our illustrious committee dont have options better prepared.
if we do have a main target and we get bumped then we also need to have a decent alternate prepared and fluffed, so they are ready to step in and shoot
should we then get our main man and we have to walk away form the pre-fluffed spare then we make our apologies and move on. we have been ****ed over so many times, its about time we were a little tougher in our transfer dealings.
atm it seems like kids could rob our dinner money off us
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I have no doubts that our scouts have identified 2 or 3 players for every position of interest but my concerns are with committee's values placed on players (and unwillingness to go over whatever "their" ceiling is) and our inability to conclude deals quickly and efficiently.

Dempsey (BR wanted him and that is my point here), Willian, Costa (to some extent) and now Salah.

Something will need to change and change quickly as atm we have 15 physically fit players and unique chance to qualify for CL after 4 years of not making it and we cannot screw that up.

We need to sign few good quality players right now.

Excellent defensively, especially in that second half, made about 5 brilliant tackles/interceptions.

He is a dreadful player in possession though. Everton were so **** though that they couldn't take advantage of his deficiencies enough.

He's not good on the ball but deserves credit for how good he was defensively. Loads on here were saying he'd get destroyed if he played.
