There has always been little clusters of new names added, but it appears that when a young or young(ish) manager does not excel straight away that he vanishes from PL contention whereas a lot of the regular names could perform to a similar level , lose their job, and then be straight onto shortlists for the next PL job that comes up.
Would see Chris Hughton as an example of a manager who did no worse in his two stints at a PL club than many of the usual names that get recycled in jobs,yet he has had to go down the divisions to get work rather than just getting role after role in the manner that guys like Warnock and Hughes seem to be able to.
