In the meantime, other non English contemporaries:

Alonso, is ripping it up in the Bundesliga.

Arteta isn't doing too badly at Arsenal, considering where they were when he joined them.

I'd be happy to have Alonso replacing Klopp when the time eventually comes.
    Oh I don't know.

If Alonso has another season to match how he has been doing so far, then 100%.

What is very impressive about his time at Leverkusen is that he has brought a very obvious style to their play that is different to that of the mangers before him and he appears to have a very nice knack of picking not so obvious players to bring in that suit the system/set up.

Really looks to be the sort of manager that creates teams that are very much team units rather than being built around a few star players.

The fact he has some amazing looking talents there that graft as much as anyone is a good sign for how he gets players to respond to his methods.

Something very Italian in how he sets up his teams along with there being very obvious German influences.

Could also see Real Madrid being very interested in having him as a manager if he keeps going as he is.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The arrogance of Rooney to claim he needed more time is quite breath taking. Imagine any other career where that lack of performance is followed by that level of arrogance.

        (other than politics obvs!)

Quite so but he always seems to land on his feet elsewhere so is he playing the game as a position in Newcastle might be becoming available in the summer if not sooner!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

                  Forgot that he managed Spurs

Don't see him getting another of the top jobs in the Premier League so Newcastle may be about his level now

Is Porto the only job he left because he chose to leave? Sacked from every other job it seems.

Multimillion pound payoffs with each sacking.

                        Portugal job after the Euros?

The first time he left Chelsea was by 'mutual consent' so not technically a sacking

He then left Inter to go to Real Madrid (who had to compensate Inter)

He’s taken about £80m in pay offs from those. I’d love that kind of failure
