40 years or so since a non Rangers / Celtic champion, I think I read. And only 19 non Old Firm champions in 129 years. Insane

Yep, last to do it were Aberdeen - back to back league titles in 83/84, then 84/85. Hearts go within a whisker in 85/86 and have never been near it since.

Thought Aberdeen were going to have a 40th anniversary tilt at the title last season after the start they made, but it all went to **** and they've barely won a game in a year let alone a title.

Aye, good team for Hearts but piss poor squad so when the injuries & suspensions start piling up on them in the cold wet Scottish weather in the winter, we will see how good they respond to adverse situations like Celtic will most likely can at the moment.
I know it's temporary but I reckon Martin O'Neill will be manager until the end of the season & will have them playing edge of the seat stuff like last time.

Pep commented earlier in the season ( or was it last season ? ) that he thought Maresca was the best in the Prem, after himself obviously.
