I'm yet to be convinced about Sakho, he's too error prone for me, never worth £17m. Mignolet worries me, good shot stopper but nothing else. Like I said, I'd only be pissed off to see 2 players from that list leave.

Fair point early days for Sahko & Mignolet. It does make for worrying reading.

Point may already have been made but if we sign a decent DM and fullback then (until Salah scores the winner against us at home) I'm not too bothered about missing out.

"If" that is true, and that's "if" that is embarrassing and we got what we deserve.

That reads like the ITK stuff that used to appear on koptalk.

Its believable in part because we also negotiated early for both Coutinho and Sturridge so that by the time the window opened all that was left to do was bid the agreed amount and the deals went through quite quickly. In this instance,if true, it would appear we did the same only to go back on our word regarding the agreed price for whatever reason.

Never been on RAWK, heard it was a mad camp though. So no idea about the site.

Something similar was on RAWK about 3 weeks ago but nobody believed it when I posted it- even with my solid reputation...

The list depresses me, I'd only be dissapointed if we lost 2 of these players out of this lot which is almost £100m, (Sturridge and Coutinho (who needs to buck his ideas up)). What a complete waste of money 95% of this list is, you could've spent £80m by simply throwing a dart into a board with a random list of average players and we'd be in the same boat now with the rest.

                              Fabio Borini £10,400,000
                              Joe Allen £15,000,000
                              Oussama Assaidi £2,400,000
                              Nuri Sahin Loan
                              Samed Yesil £1,000,000
                              Daniel Sturridge £12,000,000
                              Philippe Coutinho £8,600,000
                              Luis Alberto £6,800,000
                              Iago Aspas £7,500,000
                              Simon Mignolet £10,000,000
                              Kolo Toure Free
                              Aly Cissokho Loan
                              Tiago Ilori £7,000,000
                              Mamadou Sakho £15,000,000
                              Victor Moses Loan
People want sugar daddy Arabs funding the teams and then give those clubs a ton of stick. If we'd bought 2-3 World Class players with that cash then we'd have a squad of 9 players. I bet the wage bill of those players these have replaced is half of what it was. We find the players who are potentially great but can't outbid bottomless pit teams or can't offer Champions League football. Forces us to take gambles on lesser players hoping to strike gold.

I think you could argue that out of that list,

                                Moses
                                Ilori
                                Yesil
                                Borini
                                Aspas
                                Alberto
                                Assaidi

Would not have impacted the squad much. They have maybe a couple of good performances between them but there are over 30 million invested in that lot besides wages. But we wont go up to 11 for Salah and go after players like Willian and Costa recently but sign Sakho and Ilori instead. Our transfer strategy lack direction and planning IMO.
