Well if thats the case, then there is not much else we could have done. He was rated nearer to a £10m player at the start of Jan. Better value out there.

BR was on with Alan Brazil just now, when asked about Salah, he just said ' i don't think that deal with the Chavs is done yet', when pushed on whether he thought there was still a chance of lfc signing him, he didn't want to expand, but he did'nt say no, just said the club have been working on the deal for a few months.

Also said that whatever happens, he'd rather look at the young uns than bring in a player for the sake of it if he's not going to be better than what we have, the club is still working to bring in talent, but it's hard in Jan.
