If we are in fact in for him. He has a decision to make. Play regularly for us or rot on the chav bench for twice the salary. If he chooses the latter we are better off without him

I was thinking the same last night. Its almost as though we tempt other clubs to tempt our potential targets. If the targets pass the loyalty test then they're bound to stay with us for years (see Coutinho) maybe even if they become world class.

If not, then good luck on whichever bench is more attractive and comfy.

what will annoy most is the why? whats the point...

Chelsea don't need him, don't want him -

Salah won't get game time there - just look at all the other up and comers to go there and not get a look in....

at best - he'd play half a dozen games this season if he's lucky - then spend half of next season on the bench, before getting loaned off somewhere for the rest of it, then next summer be sold off to someone in europe for a few million.

I just don't understand well from a footballing perspective, why so many younger players sign for chelsea.

it's difference of having mega money and champions league football though.

they could easily pay Basel whatever they want with no fannying round. They could pay double his wages we would and they could sit him on the bench and no one bats an eye lid at the fee paid/wages/talent being wasted.
