He did exactly that (go outside a left back and provide width) quite effectively against Spurs. His crossing is inconsistent but no more than the rest of his game as a young player.
Salah will play right when he plays because he's always been a right winger, I agree with that, but I don't think Sterling will be tied down too strongly to either wing, especially since part of the point of adding Salah is to give us attacking depth more generally.
