I'm confused at why we should be bothered that a player that we believed to be worth somewhere between £7m and £10m (according to reports) has been sold to those mugs for £16m. I reckon they'd still pay £50m for Torres now.

Completely not fussed about missing out on this guy.
We should stick to 433 which means that the four of Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho and Sterling is more than enough. Chuck in Aspas, Alberto, Moses and Ibe and I don't think Salah was needed.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

It was all tactical by Mourinho, they have played the scum twice so no impact there. Scum are now stronger to face all of Chelsea's challengers. Also by buying Salah and leaving him on the bench will ensure the challengers are not stronger. plus the profit from Mata minus the outlay for Salah goes to their FFP grander scheme of things.

know nothing bout this fella other than he's meant ot be lighting quick with superglue feet that the ball never moves far from when dribbling. still, pretty gutting to have missed out on a player rodgers obviosuly thought would improve the team on what looks like another case of "we dont want to spend money" transfer business. CL a possibilty if we strengthen this window and so far . . . . . . . . . . . . .People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Nonsense. When we just paid whatever fees any club wanted we wasted untold millions on **** players and everyone on here was ranting about how we were mugs.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostAyre couldn't tie up a ****ing shoe lace.

The reality of this league is that there are several teams with massively greater resources than us. Its no more fair than it is that we can outspend about 85 other clubs in the country. Annoying when it happens so blatantly and the the other club won't even play the player in question, but **** it, fact of life.Originally posted by danperkins View PostSucks constantly losing out on targetsI could not dig, I dared not rob:

maybe salah wasnt too fussed where he went.
if chavs offered more money, 11m plus add ons, then basle would have given them first shout to speak to saleh. if the chavs chucked 80k at him he would have signed immediately.
if it was all about money then no probs with us letting him go, if it was down to us being cheapskates then we will never move on.
suarez will go, the world will end, etc
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We will always be ranting and raving, but it doesn't mean that sometimes the angry mob isn't right. I think there is a pattern here, and as it turns out, we are spending way too much money on players who don't have an impact on squad, like Aspas, Borini, Alberto and Ilori while we drag our feet and/or target unattainable players.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostNonsense. I honestly am starting to wonder what our transfer plans are, it seems like we are behaving like United, target certain players like Henrihk, Costa and Willian to excite the supporters, Salah to a degree, only to just lose out because "our valuation" was different.
That translates to us being poor negotiators or piss poor. There maybe a third option but I'm not going to wait till it comes to mind.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
