Thanjk you.
Paul.S
Ben Smith saying we've offered 8m and they want £12m.
I say bite their hand off at £12m and here's why -
1. He would improve our side straightaway
2. His value will at least double in the next 2-3 years (imo)
3. Its all very well saying we need a LB, RB, Def Mid (which we do) but Suarez leaves if we don't finish top 4 this season, that's nailed on.
Salah helps us win more games (we're that **** defensively it'll take more than a Jan window to sort it) and if we don't finish top 4 then we've already begun planning for life after Suarez with the purchase of Salah.
Different price obviously but it's like Arsenal buying Ozil (imo)
Ozil wasn't what they needed, Arsenal already had Wilshere, Rosicky, Ramsey, Gnabry, Ox-Chamberlin, Poldolski, Walcott, Carzola who can all play in the attacking midfield roles behind Giroud.
Now they might win the league (highly unlikely imo) so signing Ozil wasn't what Arsenal needed to win the PL, Wenger signed him because he practically guarantees top 4.
Being in the Champions League year after year cements the club financially and in the eyes of players they look to sign they know they'll play in the CL 99% of the time.
For me that's the same with Salah, we have more 'pressing issues' at full back, defensive midfield and right centre back (imo) that everyone can see need addressing but look at the Villa game, 2-2 with 30 minutes to go and Rodgers didn't make an attacking change.
Our first 11/12 players is right up there, after that we are thread bare with youngsters coming through and Aspas / Moses who haven't done enough.
We're back to relying on a 19 year old in Sterling to perform every week ffs
Your arguments make sense, providing Salah is THAT good
Is he? Would he make THAT much difference?
I'm just asking cos I only saw the Chelsea game, which to be fair he was outstanding in. Cold wet Wednesday etc etc
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
we know we are lightweight on the left hand side. can saleh play that side or is he a wide right player. raheem does a sterling job on the right, so no massive improvement maybe. if saleh can go left then he must surely get us more goals and assists than coutinho or a.n. other.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Sterling played all his age group football for us on the left, mainly with Brad Smith behind him.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
if i remember correctly when sterling first came into the first team he was on the left.
maybe they will interchange. balance and options.
He did but Rodgers said recently he noticed that Sterling scored almost all of his goals in training from the right and hardly ever when playing on the left.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He looks far more effective for me on the right hand side.

I'd completely disagree, Sterling's crossing isn't good enough (at the moment) for him to play effectively on the right over a long period.
His best moments this season have been when he has come in off the right to play inside.
Even then when he comes inside he has to play straight or square.
How many times does he go outside a left back and actually provide width? He doesn't.
If we had a decent left back he'd be much more dangerous playing out to in from the left.
If we sign Salah he'll play right and Sterling left.
