Just thinking about this in a wider context, what is the lowest age girls can be married in some countries in the world, and it's seen as totally normal ?

Sure there are some where girls are married off when they have no possible way of knowing their own mind, not enough to consider and make a judgement on their whole life ahead of them anyway.

iirc a footballer was with a girl of a very young age ? may have brought her with him, although i'm not certain of this at all, just rings a bell.

It is legal (or as far as I know was until recently) although not normal, for a 16 year old to marry in the UK.

Also, paedophilia is usually defined (outside of tabloid esque baying pitchfork mob) as a sexual attraction to very young pre-pubescent children so he doesn't really fit that category.

Age of consent in Spain is 13, presumably it is for sex between two 13 year olds and not a 13 year old with a 35 year old.

In fact - after looking at wiki - a new law was passed in 2015 so the AoC in Spain is actually 16.

Ah, wasn't aware of that. Has the EU zone agreed to standardise the law? It's incredible that someone from the UK to travel to Ger many for legal underage sex, and perhaps more importantly, someone from Germany where the legal age is 14* could come here and break the law while being of legal age as a German citizen.

I don't believe I said it does. I was making the point that the people using how old she looked as an argument in defence of him are using a picture of his girlfriend not the girl.
