They pay a lot for the players they get but non are world class signings. They aren't paying out 90 plus and blowing teams out of the water. They identify the players and pay the extra 10 or 15m to get them.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

You see the trend here? It's a long term view but they are buying the best young talents out there to add to an already quality side.
Pep has spent more than any manager in the history of the game & it's in over drive at City with unlimited funds. United have spent a comparable amount - the City team is vastly superior. It's obviously easier to win things with better players, but Pep has also made players better. Otamendi and Sterling are obvious examples but Delph might be the most unexpected.
