However, Phils International managerial tenure could rival fat Sams in length.

Seriously, what the **** is the FA thinking regarding this; you seriously couldn't make it up!! An absolute mind mending cluster**** of an appointment, straight after having to sack the previous manager for bullying........
These ****ing idiots are earning fortunes & stealing it from money that could be spent at 'Grassroots' level

FWIW Ignoring the lack of ability he has at a managerial level. I think maybe the idea behind appointing Neville is to help bring more eyes to the game in general. Womans football is growing, but it needs more to keep it going at the rate it is.
I can think of about 100 better people suited, but there is no denying people are talking
*Except Michael, who died.

The FA just talk a good game.
I see they have implemented the Rooney rule, taken from the NFL for future coaching appointments.
But they continue to undermine their own ideologies. Appointing Phil Neville as Women Coach when surely better candidates are available. They even manage to undermine themselves in the actual moment they announce the Rooney rule, when Martin Glenn suggested women are less tolerant of banter than men.
Paying lip service to these modern ideas is one thing, but how about the FA perhaps appointing a board position to a female. Or maybe appointing a BAME CEO?
If appointing Phil Neville is sufficient to raise the profile of women football then things are pretty bad. I find it hard to believe that there weren't better qualified coaches, male or female than him. Giving a guy that doesnt need any further support, support is not the way forward.Last edited by Buzzo; 24-01-18, 12:32 PM.Modifying post.
